When a small wound on the Ida’s leg needed to be cleaned, she of course was ouchy and did not want it to be handled much. I was trying to think of what we could use that would temporarily numb it so it could be worked on. The ah ha moment came from looking through our own medicine cabinet. “Band-Aid” brand Hurt Free Antiseptic WASH. One of the active ingredients is Lidocaine which is an external anaesthetic. I squirted some of that on the wound first, let it set for a minute of so, and then went to working on it. Much nicer for Ida and easier for me not having her moving around trying to get away. Try it!!
